Welcome home to something new! Many of you encouraged me to start this “something new” experience that has emerged into Our Safe Harbor Church. Because of your love, suggestions, and support we have quickly become a fast-growing virtual church that links home churches together in one harmonious stream.
We are growing because many around the world are adding us as an additional and special way to connect to worship. We are a safe place spiritually. Many viewers like moving beyond big buildings, denominational politics, and feelings of being isolated geographically or spiritually.
If you are being led and fed at a current Church help them any way you can because many have declining attendance and contributions. You are encouraged and always welcome to add our worship and other content to your life, and like some, by not interrupting any local affiliations.
We are a faith community without walls or borders. All are welcome. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, you are our brothers and sisters. If you don’t, or if you are questioning, you will find this a safe place to ask questions. If you are bruised and battered by other Churches or other Christians, you need to know that our hearts are broken with yours. Such things should not be ... but they are. Here you will find a safe harbor, I promise.
What to expect? Worship will be simple, acoustic with occasional acapella music when the right voices are in the mix. If you followed my sermons online, you found that Jesus is always front and center, love is always in evidence, and humor plays its part as well. There will be prayer and time for communion. There will be opportunities for you to be a part of Bible studies. Some will be filmed here at the sound stage live with members and their guests. There will also be question-and-answer sessions where you can send in your questions about life, scripture, faith, and theology and have them heard and answered …. when I know the answer. When I don’t, I will ask around for you.
If you can give or tithe, please do. Your monetary gifts help cover costs to create an amazing virtual experience technically, to cover pay for services, and when we can we help support charities that take care of people in need. If you can’t give you are still welcome. This safe harbor has no interest in practices that keep out those who may not be in a position to give.
We will be live each week; learning, growing and changing right along with you. So, for those who’ve been waiting, here it is, waiting for you. This is our safe harbor and now it is yours.
